Dear Mr. President
I am a concerned citizen about global warming. There are so many statistics that show that Global Warming will still have a significant effect on the environment if we got behind emission cuts now. We can not wait a couple years for all of the countries to agree on a treaty. Sure other objectives may seem more important but none of that will matter if we do not have a healthy planet to live on.There are many different ways that Global Warming can affect us. The oceans will rise because the icecaps will melt-- that will lead to loss of whole cities, farmland and ecosystem around the poles. There is also the speculation of bipolar weather, more natural disasters, loss of circulation to the ocean's currents and a population explosion of jellyfish. As you can see Global Warming is a very real and very immediate problem. Most actions are actions that are done for immediate happiness. Yet there is a lack of action with problems that matter the most. The best way to prevent Global Warming is to cut carbon emissions and control what we put into our air. Using hydroelectric power is a great way to get power and not pollute the earth's atmosphere. I wish you the best of luck cutting carbon emissions.
Sincerely,
Grace Egly
